Marinated Shiitake Mushrooms Ingredients: 1 package of fresh shiitake mushrooms Fresh basil Extra virgin olive oil Balsamic vinegar 1 clove garlic, salt, black pepper Slice the shiitake mushrooms (not too thin) and place the slices into a fry pan. Slice the clove of garlic and place this into the fry pan. Add a small amount of olive oil and the fresh basil. Adjust amounts of ingredients to taste. Add some salt and black pepper. Sauté the contents of the fry pan. Cover the pan loosely to allow the moisture to evaporate. Do not over cook the mushrooms. Leave them chewy. Transfer the sautéed mushrooms and all the other ingredients to a plastic container. Add a desired amount of balsamic vinegar. Cover tightly and place into the refrigerator. Allow the mushrooms to marinate overnight. |
