Until a few years ago, cryonics, the ability to store a human being or any other life form frozen, in a state of suspended animation and then bring that person back to life at some time in the future was not possible.
The Universal Cryonics Society was created in the last century to accomplish just that, store a human being frozen over a lengthy period of time and then to bring that person back to life. We have come far in our 100 years of existence. As you will find, by modifying the techniques of cryogenics with chemical storage we have evolved into the science of 'cryonics' and no longer need to preserve human beings in a state of 'frozen suspended animation'.
I know, right now you are saying, 'who are these nuts and what are they trying to foist upon me' ? Well where would the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts in the USA be today if in the early 1980's the then mayor had his way when he tried to prevent the establishment of the biotechnology industry from setting up shop in his city ? The then mayor said that he would not have " any monsters walking up Massachusetts Avenue." Fortunately, he did not have his way and the biotechnology industry has thrived in Cambridge.
